Our Current Series e-bikes are designed with the throttle positioned on the left side. All of our bikes use a basic 3-wire throttle that is commonly used on e-bikes. The throttle can be mounted on the left or right side, but we have opted to place it on the left. There are several advantages to this setup, which is becoming the norm in the e-bike industry.
- In cycling, the gear shifter is generally mounted on the right side. The speed gradients are quite high for this type of e-bike, and you will typically need to shift gears in order to maintain a usable pedal cadence.
- There will be cases when you may need to pedal, shift, and use the throttle at the same time.
- Modern e-bikes have 1x setups, meaning there is space available where the front derailleur shifter would be mounted.
