Seat-post suspensions are very popular with electric bikes, and they can be added to our bikes without any issues. These devices reduce the bumps transmitted to the saddle while riding and significantly improve the comfort of the bike.

There are several reasons that seat-post suspension products are popular with e-bikes:
- E-bikes are heavier and faster than normal bicycles, leading to more-pronounced shocks from road bumps and surfaces. Adding a suspension reduces the effects of these bumps that are transmitted through the bike’s frame.
- E-bike riders typically ride more miles than a traditional bicycle. Extra padding is helpful for the additional riding time.
- E-bikes have electric assistance, meaning that additional weight on the bike does not require extra effort to power the bike from the rider.
- E-bike riders often exhibit a more upright seating position than traditional bike riders who may be more concerned with aerodynamics and pedaling. This upright position leads to more weight being concentrated on the saddle. The use of a suspension can reduce the fatigue caused by this extra weight.
It is important to note that seat-post suspensions will require additional room along the seat-post to accommodate the suspension mechanism. This will increase the lowest height that the seat can be positioned. If you ride with the seat in the lowest position, it’s possible that the suspension may make the seat too high.
