If your brake disc is bent, we recommend you replace it. Most of our bikes use the same Tektro 180-24 brake disc (180 mm outer diameter, 24 mm inner diameter, 2mm thickness) for both the front and rear brakes, however, a few of the older models use the Tektro 160-24 brake disc (160 mm outer diameter, 24 mm inner diameter, 2mm thickness) for the rear brake.
To check which brake disc you need, please do one or both of the following:
- Visually inspect the brake disc that needs replacing and find the model number or diameter etched into it (see photo below)
- Using calipers or a metric ruler/tape measure, carefully measure the diameter of the brake disc. To do this accurately, you should first remove the brake disc from the bicycle and ensure that your measuring tool crosses through the center of the disc.
