Yes! You can absolutely ride your bike using only the throttle. However, there are two things you should be aware of:
- Federal law requires electric bicycles be limited to a maximum throttle speed of 20mph. If you wish to exceed this speed, it is recommended that you take advantage of your bicycle's pedal assist functionality.
- Going up steep hills using the throttle only can put unnecessary strain on the motor and motor controller. To maximize your bike's longevity, we recommend using pedal assist when climbing hills.
